About this Role

As a Kitchen Assistant at Trinity C of E Primary Academy, part of St Chad’s Academies Trust, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day running of the academy kitchen and ensuring pupils receive nutritious, well-prepared meals in a safe and welcoming environment.

Working closely with the Catering Manager and kitchen team, you will assist with food preparation, serving meals, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and ensuring all food safety procedures are followed. Your contribution will help create a positive lunchtime experience where pupils feel cared for and supported.

You will contribute to a calm, respectful and purposeful dining environment built on trust and harmony, where pupils feel safe, valued and confident. Through your friendly manner and positive interactions, you will support pupils’ independence and enjoyment of mealtimes, while being attentive to dietary requirements and individual needs, including SEND.

At Trinity C of E Primary Academy, service and community are central to our ethos. You will work as part of a collaborative team of colleagues, supporting the wider life of the academy and taking pride in serving children and families. You will be encouraged to share ideas, reflect on practice and contribute positively to the academy community.

We are committed to colleague wellbeing and professional respect. You will be supported through clear expectations, training opportunities and a culture that values teamwork and care for one another. We welcome applications from candidates who are reliable, hardworking and child-centred, and who are aligned with our values, regardless of faith background.

We would advise candidates to visit the academy; visits can be arranged by contacting the academy office.
