This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practitioner who wants to make a real difference in children’s lives and contribute to a vibrant and inclusive early years setting.

About the Role:
As our EYFS TA, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality play, care and learning activities that support the development of the whole child. You’ll also:

  • Support children’s learning through engaging, play-based experiences
  • Assist with planning, observation and assessment in line with the EYFS framework
  • Contribute to creating a safe, caring and stimulating environment
  • Provide support for children with additional needs, including producing individual development plans where required
  • Foster positive relationships with families, including undertaking home visits

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Teaching Assistant (or willing to work towards)
  • Has experience working in an EYFS setting
  • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of child development and safeguarding
  • Is warm, professional, and committed to helping every child thrive
  • Communicates effectively with children, colleagues and parents
  • Is confident to take responsibility when needed and works well in a team

In return, we offer:

  • A supportive and inclusive school community
  • Opportunities for professional development and training
  • A chance to make a real impact on children’s lives at the start of their educational journey
  • A welcoming environment with a strong sense of teamwork and shared purpose

Waterside Academy and the Agora Learning Partnership are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. References will be sought for all applicants invited to interview.  This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.  At least one of the interview panel will be trained in Safer Recruitment.

We reserve the right to interview and appoint a suitable candidate before the closing date
