About this Role

Our Nursery is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (SEN) who cares about providing both academic and nurture support in class for our wonderful children. You will be working in our nursery providing personalised 1:1 support to meet individual learning and emotional needs of a child with additional needs.

You will play a key part in creating an inclusive, supportive environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.

Relevant experience supporting SEND children in a school or childcare setting is desirable, but if you feel you have the right qualities for the role and are keen to learn, we would love to hear from you. If you have energy, kindness, patience and enthusiasm, we can offer you an exciting  opportunity where you can truly make a difference each day.

The successful candidate will:

  • be able to motivate and inspire our children to achieve their best in all areas of learning and behaviour;
  • be committed to inclusion, high expectations and raising standards;
  • be excellent communicators with good organisational and personal skills; and
  • be enthusiastic about contributing to the wider life of the school.

In return we can offer you:

  • the opportunity to work with an exceptional team of staff who are committed to the success and welfare of every child in our Trust;
  • opportunities for professional growth both within the school and the wider Greensand Multi Academy Trust
  • an excellent staff assistance scheme with access to a range of wellbeing and health initiatives, including complimentary counselling, physiotherapy and a 24-hour online GP service
  • membership of a generous Local Government Pension Scheme

This role is for 7-15 hours per week - more details will be provided at the interview. This is a term time, fixed term position until 27 March 2026. However, it may be extended into the summer term, subject to external funding.

Further information about the school can be found on our website. Candidates are also warmly invited to contact the school to discuss the role in more depth.

Applications will be considered upon receipt, and we reserve the right to appoint someone sooner than this if we identify a suitable candidate. You are therefore encouraged to apply for the role as soon as possible.

We want to attract the broadest range of talented people to be part of our Trust. We strive to create a diverse and inclusive environment and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If you need any specific support or require alternative formats, please contact us.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful candidate will be required to have an enhanced DBS check and an overseas criminal records check if you have lived or worked outside the UK within the last 10 years. Shortlisted candidates will also be subject to an online check in accordance with the updated KCSIE statutory guidance.
