About this Role
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and proactive Cleaner/Caretaker to join our team at Gravel Hill Primary School, helping us maintain a clean, safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidate will be committed, dependable, and able to demonstrate very high standards of cleaning and site care. The role includes a range of cleaning and caretaker duties, such as maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the school site, carrying out daily locking procedures, ensuring the premises remain safe and secure, and supporting the smooth operation of the school by liaising with and overseeing contractors working on site.
We are looking for someone who can prioritise tasks effectively, work independently, and take great pride in their work. The ideal candidate will be practical, organised, and able to respond flexibly to the varying needs of the school environment. Experience in a similar cleaning, caretaking, or facilities role is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided.
