Are you an exceptional EYFS practitioner with a passion for early years?
Ready to lead, inspire, and shape something bigger?
If this opportunity speaks to you, we would be delighted to hear from you. An exciting opportunity has arisen at St Peter’s Primary Academy and St Martin’s Primary Academy for a phase leader of EYFS to join our dedicated and ambitious team from September 2026.
This is a pivotal leadership role, combining class-based teaching at St Peter’s with strategic oversight of the Early Years Foundation Stage across both schools. You will lead provision for approximately 85 children across three Reception classes and a school-based nursery, working closely with colleagues to shape a coherent, high-quality EYFS experience. It is an exceptional opportunity for an outstanding practitioner ready to extend their influence beyond their own classroom and make a lasting impact across a partnership. Further information about our schools can be found in the letter from our Executive Headteacher.
We are seeking a leader who will play a key role in continuing to raise standards for our youngest learners. You will have the time and scope to observe and coach colleagues, support and delegate planning and provision, and drive professional development aligned to our ambition of delivering a truly exceptional EYFS offer. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring consistency, quality, and continuous improvement across both settings.
St Peter’s Primary Academy offers a warm, stimulating environment where children thrive. Our rich, engaging curriculum inspires curiosity, builds independence, and fosters a lifelong love of learning. High expectations and a strong culture of support ensure that every child is challenged, nurtured, and able to succeed within a caring and reflective community.
St Martin’s Primary Academy has undergone a remarkable period of transformation over the past two years, with significant improvements in curriculum, teaching, behaviour, attendance, and outcomes. As the most diverse school in Wiltshire, with over 30 languages spoken, it is a vibrant and inclusive community where diversity is celebrated and pupils take great pride in their school.
This role offers the chance to lead, influence, and innovate within a forward-thinking partnership committed to excellence in early years education.
