About this Role

Work where it matters most, achieve what matters more

Be part of a team where passion meets purpose, as we work together where the challenge is greatest to change the lives and build the futures of children and young people.

We are looking for an LSA to join us on a Level 3 Apprenticeship with Lift Schools Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship. This is a great opportunity for an inspiring and engaging individual who is looking for the next growth step in their career. In this role you will work in a friendly team delivering high quality support services to staff and students alike.  You will be assisting in the support and inclusion of students with Special Educational Needs and Disability in the Academy whilst working with individual students who experience barriers to making use of the general educational facilities and who may need specialist support or equipment, and/or groups of children as directed by teachers, and Director/Deputy Director of SEND.

This role will be based in our Speech and Language Resource Base, Arcadia. The base caters for students ages 11 - 16 who have, or who are on the pathway for, an Education Health and Care plan with a specific need in communication and interaction. The resource base provides a nurturing and safe space that allows our young people to embrace who they are and learn to express themselves with confidence and passion.

About our Academy

Ormiston NEW Academy, recently graded Ofsted 'Good', is a school based on a clear and defined pedagogical model and explicitly taught behavioural norms. It says that NEW Academy is a “vibrant school”, that students “enjoy coming to” and where they are “safe”. Students at NEW Academy understand that they must try their best and strive for excellence at all times,” In the most recent Ofsted inspection one student told inspectors, “I know that today will not be my best, because tomorrow will be better”.
