About this Role

We are looking for an exceptional Student Support Officer/Pastoral Manager to join our team at Coppice School. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality pastoral support for students to ensure potential barriers to learning are addressed.  We provide an appropriate provision for our students to enable their success both academically and socially.  Working as part of the wider student support team, we are seeking a suitable candidate who can be proactive and have the ability to implement a range of strategies to support the complex needs of some of our learners.  We are looking to widen the existing Student Support team with a diverse skill set that includes; one to one intervention/support, mentoring, personal and social development and behavior management.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including parents and relevant agencies.  Experience of working with students or in this field is desirable but it is essential that you are able to clearly display an affinity to the pastoral care of students in a school setting.

Successful applicants will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with a wide range of people including teachers, parents, and students.

We are unrelenting in our determination to provide the highest quality learning experiences for our students and so this is an exciting opportunity if you are an ambitious, high calibre professional.

If you share our vision and determination, possess strong ambitions for learners, and want to have a positive impact on young people, families and the community, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
