The role: Art, Design & Technology Technician 

Grade & Salary: Grade 2 £21,567 - £22,610 per annum (£25,185 - £26,403 FTE)

Working pattern: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days) 

Contract term: Permanent

The role:

Frederick Gent School are looking to appoint a full-time Art, Design & Technology Technician to join their team.

This role will support the teaching staff and students during lessons and will be responsible for preparing materials and resources for practicals. The role will also have a key role in contributing to the Health & Safety requirements in the department.

The post holder will cover in a range of Art, Design Technology classes, including food technology and in the workshops.

The person:

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of CAD and CAM, be proactive and able to manage their time well between each of the department’s specialisms. The post holder will need to be able to communicate with both colleagues and students and have knowledge of the Health & Safety requirements in a workshop environment.
