About Us:

Brannel School, is a thriving and inclusive 11–16 secondary school, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English to join our committed and supportive team on a fixed-term secondment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational classroom practitioner who is passionate about English and eager to make a real difference to the lives of young people.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

  • Play an active role in the wider life of the school

There is an opportunity to become a Pupil Premium Champion alongside this role for the right candidate. The role of a Pupil Premium Champion is to work across the school and alongside the Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion and Pastoral Teams, to close the attainment, behaviour and attendance gaps between PP and Non-PP students. Applicants must be passionate about outcomes for Pupil Premium students, be driven to effect change, lead by example and have a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes.

  • Is a qualified teacher (QTS) or nearing qualification
  • Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
