Teaching Assistant (Level 2)

Contract type: Fixed term until 31 July 2024
Hours: 27.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday), 38 weeks per year

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our team, to support a child on 1:1 basis The ideal candidate will be someone who has:

  • Previous experience of working with and supporting children of relevant age in a school environment.
  • A good knowledge of SEN Provision
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to work constructively as part of a supportive team.
  • Good Literacy and Numeracy skills.
  • Ability to build successful working relationships with both children, staff and parents.
  • Personal commitment to on-going professional development.

Blakesley is a proud member of PDET, alongside 34 other schools in the Rutland, Peterborough and Northamptonshire area. PDET is responsible for employing all staff and managing the finances and other central services for the Academies in the Trust. These services include HR support; facilities and premises; procurement and school effectiveness.
