Alderman Peel High School is a small, oversubscribed 11-16 school situated in beautiful North Norfolk.  We believe strongly in an inclusive education and that every single student and member of staff should be supported to achieve excellence. Our team ethos is central to our success and we would welcome applications from similar minded professionals. We are looking to appoint an Exams Officer to help guide staff and students through internal and external examinations.  The successful candidate will:

  • Be approachable and confident dealing with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be pro-active, self-motivated and take ownership of tasks.
  • Be a flexible, highly efficient and organised person.

Exam Officer responsibilities include:

  • Plan, administrate and coordinate exams: entries, timetables, booking rooms, seating plans, room and resource preparation, exam start times, absenteeism and results
  • Keep accurate up to date student data with regards to access arrangements, exam packs and timetables
  • Ensure you are aware of the latest changes in exam guidelines
  • Checking the correct examination papers and quantities arrive, maintain the safekeeping of exam documents as per guidelines and dispatch of papers on examination days
  • Communicate with awarding organisations including AQA, Edexcel, Ofqual, and DfE.
  • Maintain records and confidentiality of candidate’s responses and track student achievements
