We are seeking to appoint an Associate Teacher Manager to play a key role in the operational organisation of the school and the leadership of our Associate Teacher team. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines the day-to-day delivery of Associate Teacher responsibilities with leadership, coordination and operational management responsibilities.

The successful candidate will work closely with leaders, teachers and support staff to ensure the smooth running of the school day, high-quality classroom cover and consistent expectations for students.

  • The successful candidate will work 37 hours per week.
  • This is a 39-week-per-year role, which includes term time plus non-pupil days.

A Day in the Life:

You’ll be responsible for bringing your passion and expertise to the following areas:

  • Coordinate the daily deployment of the Associate Teacher team and support the smooth operational running of the school day

  • Deliver high-quality classroom supervision during the short-term absence of teaching staff

  • Support the induction, training and development of Associate Teachers

  • Monitor and quality assure the work of the Associate Teacher team to ensure high standards of classroom practice, behaviour management and student engagement

  • Coordinate staffing, rooming and short-term timetable adjustments where required

  • Liaise with external supply agencies and maintain accurate operational records

  • Support the development of Associate Teacher resources that promote reading, writing and cultural capital

  • Successful experience working with children in a school or similar environment

  • Experience supervising whole classes or supporting learning within a secondary school setting

  • Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills

  • A commitment to high expectations, consistency and positive relationships with young people
