We are a
one form entry combined Church of England School set in the heart of Chesham
Bois village serving a wider community that reaches out into Amersham and
Chesham.
We wish to appoint a full-time teacher for a maternity cover job in our Year 2 class, on a one year fixed term contract. We are a unique school, with fantastic children, supportive parents and a dedicated team of staff and governors. Our children flourish and enjoy an engaging curriculum and interesting surroundings that enable them to achieve their very best in a supportive and ambitious environment within a Christian ethos.
'Pupils really enjoy attending this friendly school.' (OFSTED November 2022),
'Staff are proud to work at Chesham Bois because they know they provide excellent support for pupils. They appreciate that leaders value their work and take their workload into consideration.' (OFSTED November 2022),

This post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exemptions) Order 1975 because it is a post which involves working directly with children or young people and the applicant is required to declare any criminal convictions (or cautions or bind-overs) including those which are “spent”. The amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975 (2013, 2020) provide that certain spent convictions and cautions are ‘protected’ and are not subject to disclosure to employers, and cannot be taken into account. Guidance and criteria on the filtering of these cautions and convictions can be found on the Disclosure and Barring Service website: Guidance on the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the Exceptions Order 1975
