We are a one form entry combined Church of England School set in the heart of Chesham Bois village serving a wider community that reaches out into Amersham and Chesham.

Chesham Bois is a unique school, with fantastic children, supportive parents and a dedicated team of staff and governors.  We are a friendly team with teachers, teaching assistants and all support staff working together for the benefit of the children

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work closely with class teachers to support learning, helping to deliver the curriculum for individuals and small groups in both KS1 and KS2. The candidate will need to be able to work flexibly across the year groups in different subjects including Maths and English. This may be in class as directed by the class teacher, teaching groups of children, or in 1-1 interventions. As part of the role, the candidate may need to support children with Special Educational Needs. 

The role is full time,  Monday-Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm

.The successful candidate will be able to inspire and motivate pupils and have high expectations for the children in their care. 

We are looking for

  • Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE's or equivalent)
  • Ideally have experience of working with children
  • A strong sense of teamwork
  • Be adaptable and flexible at all times
  • Place the children at the centre of all decisions
  • Support the values and Christian ethos of our school

Some break and lunchtime duties will be required.
