About the Role

Thornhill Academy, part of Consilium Academies Trust, is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Maths to join our successful and improving Maths department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school on a rapid improvement journey, recently graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted (May 2024), with a new state-of-the-art school building due to begin construction in April 2026.

We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire students, deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE, and contribute to the continued improvement of outcomes within the Maths department.

Thornhill Academy is an 11–16 secondary school located close to Sunderland City Centre, with over 600 students. Our school is proud of its diverse community, with students from 14 different ethnicities and 35 languages spoken.   • Ability to teach Maths at KS3 and GCSE

  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to school improvement
