Washington Academy is seeking an experienced,
proactive and hands-on Site Manager to lead the day-to-day management of our
school site, ensuring our buildings and grounds remain safe, secure, compliant
and welcoming for our students, staff and visitors.

About the Role
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility
for the operational management of the Academy's premises and facilities. This
is a practical leadership role where you will work alongside the facilities
team, undertaking maintenance and repairs while coordinating day-to-day site
operations.
You will lead on:
- Managing the safe, secure and efficient operation of the school
site.
- Premises compliance, health and safety and statutory inspections.
- Planned and reactive maintenance.
- Managing contractors and facilities staff.
- Site security, opening and closing procedures and emergency
response.
- Grounds maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping standards.
- Supporting capital projects and estate improvements.
- Maintaining accurate compliance and maintenance records.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience managing school, commercial or public sector
facilities.
- Is a practical, hands-on leader who is happy to undertake
maintenance tasks alongside their team.
- Has excellent knowledge of health and safety and building
maintenance.
- Can effectively manage contractors and coordinate multiple
priorities.
- Has strong organisational and communication skills.
- Is committed to maintaining high standards and delivering excellent
customer service.
- Is confident using IT systems to manage records and reporting.
A recognised facilities, health and safety or
building maintenance qualification would be advantageous, along with experience
of compliance management within an education or similar environment.
