About the Role

Bligh Primary School is seeking a skilled and caring Teaching Assistant who can also provide Higher Level Teaching Assistant support for two hours each week. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences and achieving the best outcomes for every pupil.

In this role, you will:

  • Support pupils' learning across a range of year groups and abilities

  • Deliver targeted interventions and provide high-quality classroom support

  • Work closely with teachers and colleagues to support pupil progress

  • Lead learning during allocated HLTA time with confidence and creativity

  • Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and engagement

  • Help create a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds an NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant area

  • Has experience working with primary-aged children

  • Is confident supporting learning across the curriculum

  • Can lead groups of pupils and deliver learning activities effectively

  • Is calm, flexible and proactive in their approach

  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues

  • Shares our commitment to inclusion, high expectations and pupil success

Most importantly, you'll be passionate about helping children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
