Purpose:
To be a part of a team to ensure the
security, safety, care and wellbeing of children and to promote their social,
emotional and physical development during lunch time.
Main duties and responsibilities:
To supervise children either inside or
outside of the school hall
To view spaces where children are,
maintaining vigilance at all times
To be aware of health and safety
guidelines, pupil welfare and the security of children in accordance with our
Behaviour Policy
To be proactive in supporting and
facilitating play opportunities and quelling low-level upsets before they
escalate
To supervise children whilst eating
their lunch and assist in clearing away and tidying the hall
To deal as appropriate with all
incidents of disorder, ensuring that any disruption is minimised in line with
the school’s Behaviour Policy
To take appropriate independent action
to minimise disruption
To offer comfort and support to
children who are distressed by any situation
To assist in maintaining a calm and
respectful atmosphere around the school site
To carry out task and duties as
required by the Senior Lunchtime Supervisor and lead Teacher, as appropriate to
the role
To be prepared to undertake
professional development and training
Working Hours:
12.00 – 13.00 Monday - Friday,
Term-Time only. You will be asked to
work one Inset day per year.
