About our Academy
Bobby Moore Academy is an all through school, providing a
world-class education for the children of east London. A school characterised
by ambition and drive it is transformational in its impact on their life
chances and we all as a community stand firm in our belief.
We are situated across two iconic sites on the Queen
Elizabeth Olympic Park, and our Secondary phase is now heavily oversubscribed.
We are building partnerships with the new East Bank development, including the
BBC, UCL, V&A East which is bringing incredible opportunities to the young
people of East London.
Since the school was founded in 2017, we have set ambitious

About the MUSIC Department
The music department sits alongside the drama and dance
studios, boasting a vast practice room, a fully equipped IT Suite and 5
individual practice rooms for scholars with instrument lessons. This year
the academy will be performing its first musical production with collaboration
from the Performing Arts team. We are looking for a passionate and
dedicated member of staff to support a very popular and very dynamic
team delivering incredible opportunities for our young scholars.
At Bobby Moore Academy, scholars study an
ambitious and academic knowledge-rich curriculum. Our KS3-4 curriculum is
sequenced to ensure that all scholars master essential disciplinary
and substantive knowledge for success at GCSE and, hopefully in the
future, A-Level. As a teacher of Music, you will work
with the Hockney team in the delivery of this curriculum according to
the BMA Way.
You would work closely with the Director of Music to support
not only curriculum delivery, but the vast array of opportunities afforded
to our scholars in this field, from the Choir, Orchestra,
Musical Theatre and various bands that perform via our extra
curricular offer, to visits and performances in London, Nottingham
and Loughborough.
