About the role
Full Time Teaching Hours, 52 weeks per year . Permanent
To help shape and develop Science across the school, ensuring alignment to Trust principles and the reliability and validity of data. This is a key appointment in the school’s development and the successful applicant will play an integral role in the Science Department in ensuring the quality of provision in Science, establishing the subject at the heart of our academic curriculum. You will be a model of professionalism, a dynamic team player and an outstanding practitioner in their own right
• To be accountable for scholar progress in KS3, KS4 and KS5 across all subject areas within the faculty
• To ensure the effective planning and implementation of subject curricula across KS3, KS4 and KS5 in addition to ensuring that all students experience an enriching STEM provision
• To support, monitor, evaluate and develop specific intervention and provision for pupils
• Line management responsibilities and any additional support of staff within the faculty
• To effectively and efficiently manage and deploy teaching/support staff, financial and physical resources across the subject area
• To provide a model of highly skilled inclusive teaching in your subject and to share best practice within the department
• To be involved in developmental observations
• If appropriate, to act as a mentor or coach for other colleagues within and beyond the department
• Undertake rigorous self-evaluation and use findings effectively
• Contribute to whole school CPD

Bobby Moore Academy is an all through school, providing a

Who we are looking for
Qualified Teacher Status with a good honours
degree in a relevant subject and evidence of ongoing professional development
Excellent classroom practitioner with demonstrable
experience of raising standards and experience of successful delivery of the
primary curriculum
Experience of working in high-performing contexts, helping
scholars to overcome significant barriers to learning
