About the
role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated and supportive team at Marfleet Primary Academy – a thriving school within our Hull community. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work initially in our school nursery, covering both the 2 year old and the 3 year old provision, in collaboration with EYFS lead.
As a
Teaching Assistant you will play a key role in the child’s day, you will be
passionate about teaching and learning and believe in developing the true
potential of all our children. You will have a calm and positive disposition,
the ability to break down activities into small step by step teaching and will
nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils. Implementing clear boundaries
and routines. You will use behaviour management in all areas around
school.
The job
requirements
The successful candidate will work closely with our EYFS Lead and teachers within the school, supporting some of our most vulnerable learners with the following,
· To manage, organise, plan and prepare the day to day running of the 2 year old provision and the 3 year old provision including upholding the whole school behaviour policy.
· To support all children’s learning during continuous provision and consolidate and challenge learning during adult led activity.
· Develop professional relationships with other foundation stage team members and provide support and direction where needed.
· To regularly communicate with parents, carers and other external agencies where required.
· To proactively keep up to date with all safeguarding, health and safety and child protection training.
· To support the learning, care and development of children with additional needs ensuring they have access to a rich and varied curriculum.
·
To have an understanding of the needs of children of all abilities,
including those with SEND and EAL.
