About the role

Marfleet Primary School are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work within our dedicated team. The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 15.30pm, these hours will be worked during the school term time.

As a Teaching Assistant you will play a key role in the child’s day, you will be passionate about teaching and learning and believe in developing the true potential of all our children. You will have a calm and positive disposition, the ability to break down activities into small step by step teaching and will nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils. Implementing clear boundaries and routines. You will use behaviour management in all areas around school. 

The job requirements

We are looking for someone who has experience of working with children, in a supportive capacity and has good verbal communication, strong time management, organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team as these are all essential to this role.

You will have the ability to build a good rapport with parents and carers and the wider school community.

Ideally you will be an experienced Teaching Assistant with knowledge and understanding with regards to child development and the curriculum and how to enhance a child’s experiences and build upon their learning. 

Alongside working in the classroom duties will include being part of our lunchtime team, ensuring a safe and joyful time for the children at lunch during eating and downtime.
