Join Our Team at Heathcote Primary School

Heathcote Primary School is on an exciting journey as we grow towards becoming a full school by 2025/26. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Business Manager to help us establish robust systems and structures that will enable us to deliver the very best education and experience for our children, families, and staff.

Guided by our vision of “Wouldn’t it be amazing if…”, we aspire to:

  • Deliver a curriculum that rivals all others in the local area
  • Ensure every child leaves Heathcote at age-related expectation or above
  • Foster exemplary behaviour across our whole school community

  • Build strong partnerships between school and home to secure the best outcomes

If you share our ambition and want to help bring these aspirations to life, we would love to hear from you. We encourage visits to the school—there’s no better way to experience the heart of our community and see if Heathcote is the right place for you.

About the Role

As School Business Manager, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, leading our administrative team and ensuring the smooth operation of all non-teaching aspects of school life. This includes:

  • Managing financial operations, budgets, facilities, and administration
  • Overseeing payroll, reconciliation, and school census processes to meet deadlines
  • Using systems such as SIMS and iTrent (training provided)
  • Liaising effectively with the Trust and external organisations on Payroll, HR, Administration, and Health & Safety

The successful candidate will be:

  • Organised, flexible, and proactive
  • Skilled in financial and budgetary management
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Committed to honesty, confidentiality, and integrity

In return, we offer:

  • A caring and supportive environment
  • A dedicated, friendly, and passionate team
