About this Role

We seek to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and influential Teaching Assistant, who will inspire and provide excellent support to students.  The successful candidate will work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities. You will be able to work well as part of a team, but also demonstrate initiative and the ability to work alone.

If you believe that you have these qualities, are passionate about being involved in the growth of students and are interested in working as part of our school team, then we look forward to hearing from you.

We also have a forward-thinking Employee Assistance Programme, a Medical Cash Plan, Wider Wallet Benefit Hub, Wider Fitness, Cycle to Work and eyecare vouchers. As we are close to the centre of Reading, travel connections are first-rate, with the M4 and M3 within easy reach, as well as the mainline rail station (with fast connections to London).

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Allison Worley, Human Resources Manager aworley@thameslearningtrust.co.uk

All applications will be considered on receipt and an appointment may made before the closing date.

Thames Learning Trust is committed to adhering to the DFE guidance "Keeping Children Safe in  Education".
