As part of improving our estate management we are seeking a successful site manger to be responsible for ensuring that the schools in the region are managed and maintained to the highest standards, ensuring that we deliver safe and secure school sites for our students and staff.
Based at our largest Academy in Bedford, the Regional Site manager will be directly responsible for Wixams Academy and will then oversee the site management at 4 other primary schools in the region. You will manage a team of site-based staff to ensure timely delivery of all statutory compliance, oversee maintenance requirements, address on-site health and safety matters, liaise with key contractors, and support the operations team with audits and the delivery of critical infrastructure projects.
require someone with a 'can do' attitude, who has a hands on approach to site management, is able to manage people to get the best out of them, understands key premises issues and is able to ensure that all the key maintenance issues are either resolved by the team or appointing specialist contractors. This is not a desk management role, this role is out and about in the schools, you should be equally happy picking up litter or engaging with specialist engineers. Previous schools experience is highly desirable although we will consider someone with non-school's experience if they demonstrate the aptitude and knowledge to make this role a success.
