Wixams Academy is a thriving, high-performing school that continues to go from strength to strength. Since opening our doors in 2017 with just 80 students, we have grown rapidly and now proudly serve around 950 pupils (as of September 2023), including 120 students in our Sixth Form 🎓.

Our journey doesn’t stop there 🚀 , we are on track to expand to 1,750 students and 200 staff by 2030, supported by our exciting collaboration with Bedford Borough Council and the Department for Education to increase our capacity.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Religious Education Teacher to join our Academy from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive and collaborative team, teaching across Key Stages 3–5. The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging, high-quality teaching, drive excellent outcomes, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment. There will also be opportunities to play an active role in whole-school development, pastoral care as a Form Tutor, and ongoing professional growth within a forward-thinking academy.
