  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team from September 2026. This permanent role offers the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibilities and play a key part in supporting high‑quality teaching and learning across the academy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective learning activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes.
  • Support teachers with planning, preparation and assessment to raise attainment.
  • Provide targeted interventions for pupils with additional or specific learning needs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and well‑managed learning environment.
  • Support pupils’ wider pastoral needs to ensure they feel safe, supported and ready to learn.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, leaders and parents to promote strong progress.
  • Monitor and record pupil outcomes, sharing feedback with teaching staff to inform next steps.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and proactive HLTA who:

  • Holds a recognised HLTA qualification or has equivalent experience.
  • Has strong classroom practice and is confident leading whole‑class learning.
  • Is passionate about supporting children of all backgrounds and abilities.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
  • Brings positivity, resilience and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Is dedicated to upholding the values, ethos and ambitions of Hatfield Academy.
