About this Role

Love, Live and Learn with Jesus

At St Peter's C of E Primary Academy we believe that children learn best when they are secure, safe and having fun.

Our target for all children is to leave St Peter’s as independent, confident, self-disciplined, enquiring and creative individuals, with the academic achievement necessary for the next educational phase.

St. Peter’s CofE Primary Academy, judged ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted, April 2022, is looking to appoint an ambitious and driven class teacher who is passionate about the difference they make to the life chances of every child.  St. Peter’s is located on Bellamy Road in Mansfield and caters for a broad range of pupils.

Is this a vision that you share? If so, we are looking for someone who:

  • Has secure subject knowledge and a good understanding of the National Curriculum, particularly KS1
  • Has a passion to teach to a high standard and believes every child can progress
  • Is fully committed to their own professional development
  • Has strong inter-personal skills, working well in a supportive team
  • Is highly motivated, aspirational and wants the very best for the children in our academy
  • Understands how to nurture and support all children in their emotional and social development
  • Has a genuine desire to integrate into a committed team
  • To be committed to our Christian Values and help us to embed them
  • Approaches teaching with enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • An interest in developing subject leader responsibility is essential.

In return, we can offer you:

  • Children who are excitable and who are a delight to work with
  • A skilled, dedicated and supportive team who is committed to the professional development of each and every colleague
  • A coherent and well-sequenced, precise curriculum
  • An exceptional learning environment with superb opportunities for further development
  • An on-site Forest Schools area
  • The support of colleagues in SNMAT partner academies
  • The support of the SNMAT which comes with endless personal benefits such as well-being support and ongoing professional development
  • Excellent support from the Governing Body.

If you are keen to be part of our very special team, please do request further details and take the time to find out more about our thriving community by accessing our SIAMs and Ofsted reports on our website.

Please ring the academy and ask to speak to the Headteacher, Joanna Kaluza, to discuss the exciting role that we have on offer. She will also be able to book an appointment to show you around the school at a time that is convenient to yourself.

Closing date: Wednesday 3rd June 2026 12.00

Interviews week commencing:  Monday 8th June 2026
