About this Role

Maple Grove Primary School is looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and committed SENCO.  We are a warm, friendly school and team, with wonderful children and supportive parents. Children are motivated to learn, are exceptionally well behaved and deserve the best that we can give them. Teachers are all supported on their ongoing CPD through quality support from the Lion Academy Trust team.

This is an exciting opportunity to implement the Trust agreed provision for SEND and gifted and talented children and interventions, working as a member of the leadership team.

Under the direction of the head Teacher, you will determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability. You will need to line manage LSA teams and support the SEN interventions across the schools, working closely with the Deputy Head Teacher. The successful candidate will have experience with Essex SEND procedures and will be familiar with documentation for applying for EHCPs and annual reviews.

The successful candidate would be employed as a teacher under the STPCD and will hold specific duties in the role of SENCo.

We are inviting applications from qualified teachers who hold the SENCO qualification.

  • an effective communicator with all stakeholders and multi-agencies

  • responsive and adaptable and able to follow through on all tasks

    • a vibrant and rapidly improving school with rewards and opportunities for motivated and committed individuals

    • Lion Pathways Curriculum
