An exciting opportunity has
arisen at Aldeburgh Primary School for an ambitious and committed teacher to
join our team, teaching a Year 5/6 class while leading SEND provision across
the school. Ideal for an aspiring or experienced SENCO, this role offers the
chance to shape whole-school inclusion and contribute as part of the Senior
Leadership Team, influencing wider school strategy in a small school with big
opportunities. The role is supported by a SENCO allowance, NPQSENCO training,
and dedicated leadership release time through a job-share arrangement.
Aldeburgh Primary School is a
small, friendly and ambitious school in Suffolk, with capacity for up to 105
children. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (April 2025), we are proud of our strong
leadership, nurturing ethos and engaging curriculum. Our size allows us to know
every child as an individual, while offering rich experiences including
sailing, film-making and cultural visits.

We are looking for someone
who:
· Is
an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all pupils
· Has
experience of working with pupils with SEND
· Is
committed to inclusive practice and improving outcomes for all learners
· Has
experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6)
· Is
either an experienced SENCO or keen to develop into the role
· Works
well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life
