About the Role

Reporting to the Vice Principal, the successful candidate will lead a team of Form Tutors and take responsibility for the pastoral care, progress, behaviour and wellbeing of a year group. You will play a pivotal role in promoting high standards, positive relationships and a strong year-group identity aligned with our school values of Consideration, Aspiration, Resilience and Equality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of Form Tutors to promote students’ academic, emotional and social development
  • Monitor and improve attendance, punctuality, behaviour and engagement
  • Deliver assemblies and contribute to whole-school pastoral initiatives
  • Work closely with parents, staff and external agencies to provide effective support and intervention
  • Track and support student progress, maintaining accurate records (including Arbor and CPOMS)
  • Promote a positive ethos that encourages high expectations and achievement for all students

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Has excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
  • Can motivate, inspire and act as a positive role model for students
  • Has experience working with young people and families, ideally within an educational setting
  • Is supportive of the inclusive ethos and values of Moorside High School and Consilium Academies
