Pay Scale: Grade 5 Point 8 (£26,824 FTE)

33.75 hours per week / 39 weeks per year
Monday – Friday
8.15am – 3.30pm
Monkston Primary School is
seeking an experienced, flexible, enthusiastic and positive Early Years
Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team. This role involves leading
small group activities, delivering a daily phonics session, supporting pupils
on a 1:1 basis and providing support at lunchtime — all under the direction and
supervision of the class teacher. A key part of the role will be supporting
pupils to move their own learning forward through effective questioning,
encouragement and high-quality interactions.
What we’re
looking for:
• A highly effective Early
Years Teaching Assistant who understands how to build motivating relationships
with young children, enabling them to make rapid progress.
• Someone with excellent skills in interacting and communicating with children,
ensuring they feel supported, valued and confident in their learning.
• Experience of planning and delivering phonics sessions and working within an
Early Years setting.
