About this Role

John Wycliffe Primary School, part of Inspiring Primaries Academy Trust,   are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant  with experience in EYFS and SEND to join our friendly and hard working team based at John Wycliffe Primary School.

Thank you for your interest in this rare opportunity to join the wonderful teaching & learning team at John Wycliffe Primary School, Lutterworth - part of Inspiring Primaries Academy Trust! This vacancy is for the right candidate to become a member of our dedicated team of support staff. The role requires a caring and considerate individual to work alongside the class teachers to offer personalised support for a small number of children with additional learning needs. JWPS is a community school at the heart of our growing market town in rural Leicestershire. As the town is growing, so is our school. We are excited that we were chosen for £1 million in expansion investment and have recently opened our new Whittle Wing learning block to lift our potential capacity to 420 children over the coming years. Our school has a long tradition of nurture, placing the wellbeing of our children at the heart of all we do. When it comes to teaching and learning, we have a very simple ethos: Be Brilliant!

This post is for 30 hours per week/ 39 weeks per year to include INSET days.  Paid at Grade 5 .7 .  We would consider a job share and the hours available would be as follows; 8:45 - 1:00  and 11:45 - 3:15. (These times incl  lunch time cover )                                                                                                                                                                        

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Learning Support  Assistants to join our highly committed team and willing to work across the schools in either Key Stages.  The successful applicant will be:

·         Experienced in a similar role

·         Highly organised and able to set clear priorities in managing their workload

·         Able to communicate clearly and positively with staff, parents and pupils, both in person and in written communications

·         Able to work calmly under pressure

·         Able to show a 'can-do' attitude and seek solutions to problems

·         Able to work flexibly and creatively

·         Happy, co-operative and able to work on own initiative

·         A strong team player

·         A person who demonstrates excellent initiative
