We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Humanities teacher who is committed to upholding and supporting the Catholic ethos of our school, particularly in the delivery of the R.E. curriculum. The ideal candidate will bring strong subject knowledge, high expectations, and a passion for inspiring young people in their spiritual and academic growth.
They will be able to deliver engaging and thoughtful lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering curiosity, reflection, and a love of learning. We are looking for someone who is reflective and committed to highly intentional, evidence informed teaching, and who recognises that Christ is at the centre of our school community, contributing positively to the collaborative culture and continued success of our high performing department. While experience of teaching GCSE is desirable, we welcome applicants at all stages of their career who are eager to develop and make a meaningful impact within our community.
The successful candidate will:
• Teach highly effective lessons that engage, challenge and inspire students
• Monitor student progress and contribute to strategies that secure strong outcomes
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department
• Work with experienced colleagues to develop and refine curriculum resources
The ideal candidate will:
• Hold strong subject knowledge in Religious Education, or be willing to develop this quickly
• Be an effective classroom practitioner with a track record of positive student outcomes
• Demonstrate the ability to engage and enthuse students about Economics
• Have experience teaching Key Stage 4 and/or Key Stage 5
• Be committed, enthusiastic and driven, with a passion for inspiring young people
• Be keen to contribute to the continued success of a high-performing school and sixth form
• Be willing to engage in ongoing professional development
