An exciting opportunity has arisen for Lunchtime Supervisor to join The Bridge School.

At The Bridge School, every pupil has a Statement of Special Educational Need or an Education, Health and Care Plan. We specialise in supporting children with complex and multiple needs, including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), alongside additional needs such as visual or hearing impairment and behaviours requiring skilled, compassionate support.

At The Bridge School, you will be part of a dedicated, supportive team working in close partnership with families and professionals, immersed in the principles of the Birmingham Curriculum Statement and British Values. The successful candidate will:

·        Set up and clear away the dining areas of any tables and chairs.

·        Ensure all safeguarding procedures are followed.

·        Supervise children's entry into the dining room.

·        Assist children where necessary to carry trays to tables and to return empty dishes to the service counter.

·        Supervise children in the playground or other area of the school as required, dealing with any incidents of inappropriate behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour Policy.

·        Ensure dining areas are clean and tidy.

·        Organise play/games as appropriate.

·        Assist children who are unwell.

·        Be prepared to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.

·        Have a commitment to the importance of play.

·        Have a good understanding and commitment to equality, diversity and the principles of inclusion.

·        Develop, lead and work as part of a dynamic and committed team.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
