An exciting opportunity has arisen for Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join The Bridge School.

 

At The Bridge School, every pupil has a Statement of Special Educational Need or an Education, Health and Care Plan. We specialise in supporting children with complex and multiple needs, including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), alongside additional needs such as visual or hearing impairment and behaviours requiring skilled, compassionate support.

Teaching Assistants are responsible for supporting and leading small groups and individuals with Maths, English, Reading, SEMH, vocational and practical activities, supporting pupils to develop resilience, social skills and self-esteem, and deploying effective strategies for supporting pupils with a range of behavioural needs.

 

The successful candidate will:

·        Compassionate and patient nature

·        Empathy and understanding towards diverse needs

·        Eagerness to learn and grow in an inclusive educational setting

·        Dedication to fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment  

·        NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience would be desirable
