Deputy Principal
We have an exciting opportunity for
an experienced school leader to join the senior leadership team as a Deputy
Principal at Elstow School. We are seeking to appoint an ambitious,
enthusiastic and dedicated leader with a passion for raising standards through
excellence in teaching and learning.
The candidate will need to be able to think and lead
strategically, as well as maintaining a high profile, ‘on-the-ground’ presence,
ensuring consistency of excellence across the school.
This position is ideal for a candidate with existing successful senior or middle leadership and line management experience. Evidence of having effectively led on whole school initiatives would be an advantage.
Key
Duties
·
To support the Principal in the
smooth running of the school.
·
To deputise for the Principal
when required.
·
Strategic leadership, in conjunction with the Principal, of the quality
assurance of all aspects of the school’s academic and wider performance,
self-evaluation and development planning.
·
Strategic leadership of specific areas of accountability, dependant on the
successful candidate’s experience and expertise and that of the wider SLT team.
·
Line management of senior and
middle leaders.
·
Teaching commitment as directed
by the Principal.
