About this Role

INTERNAL ADVERT for SECONDMENT to the post of: 

Teacher (Unqualified) 

to teach in our Achievement Centre (covering long term absence) + Teach Learning for Life in the mainstream 

Required for September 2026

Full Time – temporary to December 2026 in the first instance 

Unqualified Teacher Scale


We are looking for a talented and committed colleague with the ambition and potential to grow into a qualified teacher to join our Achievement Centre and our Learning for Life Team 

This is a full time post, initially temporary to 31st December 2026, though there is a possibility that this could extend for one year or beyond. We would be open to supporting the successful candidate work towards Qualified Teacher Status.

You must:

  • Have experience teaching in a secondary environment 

  • Experience of Special Educational Needs  

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent (to be eligible for achieving QTS in the future) 

In addition:

  • You will have a passion for working with students with learning difficulties, and for the Personal Development of all students 

  • You will show the ability to adapt to the varied needs of our students and inspire their learning 

  • You will be creative and enjoy using your initiative to motivate our students to reach their potential  

  • You will have high expectations of yourself and students and be committed to your professional development 

  • You will be committed to playing a full role in the Achievement Centre and Learning for Life, actively promoting inclusive practice.
