Wood Green School is looking for a talented and dynamic leader to lead our History department. History is a popular and significant subject at Wood Green, taught by a strong team of specialist teachers. Results are consistently high. We are looking for the right person with the potential to lead the department into its next exciting chapter.
Wood Green is an oversubscribed 11-18 Academy school in the thriving town of Witney, close to the Cotswolds and with excellent transport links to Oxford and London. As Head of History, you will:
Lead a committed team of specialist teachers
Champion high‑quality teaching and learning that inspires students of all ages and abilities.
Drive an ambitious, inclusive vision for History, ensuring students thrive both academically and personally.
Develop curriculum innovation, high standards of assessment, and a rich co‑curricular offer.
Work collaboratively with senior and middle leaders to contribute to whole‑school improvement.
