About this Role

We are looking for an outstanding Classroom Teacher to work within Key Stage 2.  This will be an ideal opportunity for an ECT candidate to begin their career.  We have a dedicated and supportive mentor scheme within our school and The Primary First Trust.  As a school we have a comprehensive curriculum which we adapt for the needs of individual classes.

You will be supported by a Teaching Assistant and an experienced Inclusion Manager.

We would also welcome applicants who have previous experience in schools.

About You:

We are looking for an inclusive practitioner who is passionate about making a difference. You will be proactive and well-organised, with high expectations and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for our pupils.
You will be an excellent communicator and team player, and you will be able to give our pupils the skills and experiences to enable them to be confident, independent, and active learners as they continue their journey towards a full, successful, and happy life.

You will be able to:

    • Show a detailed knowledge of the development and progression of subject(s) taught and keep up to date with developments in pedagogy for the subject(s) taught.
    • Set appropriate and demanding targets for pupils' learning and motivation, identifying clear teaching objectives, content, structure and sequences to ensure all pupils can reach their potential in the subject taught and in literacy, numeracy and ICT.
    • Use teaching methods that keep pupils engaged, including stimulating curiosity, effective questioning and response, clear presentation, and good use of resources.
    • Secure high standards of pupil behaviour through well-focused teaching, establishing appropriate rules which pupils respect, and dealing with inappropriate behaviour in line with the behaviour policy.
    • Build supportive relationships with parents.
For all teaching posts, we welcome applications from both experienced and recently qualified teachers (ECTs).
If you are a teacher who can make learning fun, engaging and memorable while being reflective and continually seeks to improve your practice, we would love to hear from you.

All applicants will be notified via email of their shortlisting decisions. References for shortlisted candidates may be requested prior to interviews.

If a suitable candidate is identified, interviews may be conducted earlier than the stated closing date. Early submission is encouraged to ensure full consideration.
