About the Role

This role is based at Hornchurch High School.

Reporting to the School Business Leader, the Finance & Premises Officer plays an important role in supporting the delivery of accurate, efficient and compliant finance services across the school. This is a varied and handson role, covering accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations and financial administration. You will process purchase orders, invoices, income and payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies and controls, while providing responsive support to colleagues across the school and Trust.

You will also contribute to financial reporting and reconciliation activities, assisting with departmental budget monitoring, preparing reports and supporting internal and external audits.  Accuracy, attention to detail and a strong understanding of finance processes are essential, as is the ability to manage competing deadlines within a fastpaced environment.

You will also assist the Senior Caretaker to arrange and facilitate all building planned preventative maintenance work, meeting contractors on site, ensuring the maintenance reports are filed in a timely and accurate manner, that all facilities related activities are compliant with health, safety and security procedures and maintain accurate and compliant asset registers where required, alongside the Senior Caretaker.

This role would suit an experienced Finance Assistant or Finance Officer who enjoys working with data, systems and processes, and who takes pride in delivering a highquality, customerfocused service.
