About this Role
Lime Wood Primary School is excited to be recruiting committed, skilled and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support in our Specialist Resource Provision in KS1 and KS2. You will be working primarily with children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) where the primary needs are Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).

Your job role will include:
• Delivering individualised support strategies in line with EHCP outcomes.
• Supporting pupils with communication, sensory regulation, and social interaction.
• Collaborating with the SRP Lead Teacher, class teachers, therapists, and families.
• Supporting with assessments, observations, and learning journals.
• Helping to maintain a calm, safe, and predictable learning environment.
• Encouraging independence and personal development.
• Using visual supports, sensory tools, and communication aids (PECS, Makaton, etc.)
• Contributing to reviews and planning meetings for pupils.
• Promoting inclusion and transitions into the wider school community.
