Join Us on Our Mission to Deliver an Exceptional Education

At Astrea Academy Netherwood, we are relentlessly committed to securing the very best outcomes for every child we serve. We believe in aspiration without exception — and we are seeking a dedicated Exam Invigilator who shares our values of Scholarship, Curiosity and Tenacity, and who will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth, successful and secure running of the examinations process.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is meticulous, organised, and motivated by the knowledge that their work directly supports young people to achieve their very best.

The Role

As our Exam Invigilator, you will make a significant contribution to the integrity and success of our examinations and internal assessment processes. You will ensure that systems run efficiently, procedures are upheld, and students are supported to engage productively with their work.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising students in the Reflection Room to help them remain focused and productive
  • Completing paperwork accurately, including identifying students who make strong progress or who may need further support
  • Supporting behaviour expectations within the Academy, ensuring our high standards are consistently applied in the Reflection Room
  • Providing clear, constructive feedback on engagement and learning activities

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking individuals who:

  • Have experience ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of children
  • Demonstrate confident and effective behaviour management
  • Are educated to at least GCSE level with strong standards of literacy and numeracy
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to show tact, diplomacy and professionalism
  • Understand and appreciate the unique strengths and dynamics of urban and multi‑faith communities

If you are someone who is calm under pressure, reliable, and committed to excellence, we want to hear from you.
