What you will do
As a HLTA, you aren't just supporting the classroom; you are a key driver of pupil achievement. You will work closely with teachers and pupils, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. 1:1 work may be required at times. You will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for the pupils and monitoring, assessing, recording and reporting on children’s progress and development.
Under the direction of the Principal, you will;
Lead a range of learning activities for individuals, groups and whole classes ensuring all pupils make accelerated progress.
Plan & assess lessons, planning and marking work, and provide evidence-based feedback to teachers, parents, and pupils.
Support pupils with SEND and personal care needs, helping them build the independence required to access the full curriculum.
Use your initiative to organise service delivery and lead extra-curricular activities that enrich our school life.

You will have:
Achieved HLTA accreditation (or equivalent) and ideally a First Aid qualification.
Proven track record in an educational environment with practical experience in curriculum delivery and lesson planning.
Strong ICT integration, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the SEND code of practice.
