Kingfisher Primary Academy is a thriving two-form entry school with a 52-place nursery, located in the heart of Doncaster. At Kingfisher, the success and wellbeing of our pupils are at the centre of everything we do. Our innovative curriculum sparks curiosity and encourages active participation, ensuring every child is engaged and excited about learning.

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and committed Teaching Assistant to join our Reception classes, supporting small groups of children to access learning activities within the setting. This is a permanent role, working 30 hours per week.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing tailored support to pupils with complex needs, helping them access learning and thrive in a nurturing environment
  • Providing tailored support to pupils in accessing learning within a nurturing environment
  • Supporting the delivery of a therapeutic, broad, and balanced curriculum that meets individual needs
  • Working closely with teachers and senior leaders to adapt learning experiences in line with statutory SEND requirements
  • Attending to pupils’ health, welfare, and personal care needs, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day
  • Supporting the effective organisation of the learning environment, including preparing resources and learning spaces
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in line with school expectations
  • Observing and recording pupil progress to support assessment and planning
