Hours: 11 hours 40 mins, 38 weeks (term time only)
Working pattern: Monday – Friday 11.30am – 1.50pm
Salary: Pathway 1, £6,196 - £6,293, (FTE £23,656 - £24,027) per annum
Site: Gladstone Primary Academy

Your role:
As a Play Worker at Gladstone Primary Academy, you will be an integral part of our play team, ensuring that every child has a meaningful and enjoyable lunchtime play experience. Your responsibilities will include facilitating a variety of play opportunities, from social and active to creative activities, in a safe and stimulating outdoor environment. You will work closely with the Play Coordinator and other team members to support children during lunchtime and ensure the play areas are safe and well-equipped. You will promote good eating and social skills, and contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of the school. Strong communication skills, reliability, and a friendly, approachable manner are essential. While previous experience in play work or working with children is desirable, it is not essential. A willingness to engage in professional development and adhere to the school’s safeguarding policies is required.
Fluency Duty: As this role involves direct interaction with the public, it is essential that candidates meets the Fluency Duty requirements as outlined in the Immigration Act 2016. The successful candidate must demonstrate fluency in English to ensure effective communication with our staff, parents and pupils.
