High Street Primary, Reach South Academy Trust is
seeking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join the School in June
2025.

£29,093 - £31,586 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time, 52 Weeks
Contract Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday

About the role
We are looking to recruit an experienced
professional, self-motivated and hardworking individual to join our
team.
The role is based at High Street Primary Academy, based in
Stonehouse and Marlborough Primary Academy, based in Devonport. There may also
be a requirement to work across different schools within the trust.
The priority of the role is to maintain both High Street
Primary Academy and Marlborough Primary Academy and their buildings, whilst
monitoring the associated health, safety and statutory compliance activities
for both sites.
The post holder will be required to interact and liaise with
school and Trust staff, students, and visitors, so professional communication
is key.
Previous experience in site maintenance, ideally within an
education environment is desirable, with practical and simple maintenance
skills and knowledge being essential to the role.
Duties will include:
Coordinating and completing site and grounds related tasks
at High Street Primary Academy and Marlborough Primary Academy.
Carrying out minor repair and maintenance works on each
sites, including decorating or reactive maintenance
Responsibility for security of both schools and daily
opening and closing procedures of the school site (this might necessitate the
need for a split working pattern)
Ensuring that required inspections, testing and maintenance
in relation to site equipment and services is completed is a timely manner
To have oversight of external contractors for the duration
of their time on site
To ensure the Trust’s Health and Safety Policy and Learning
Environment Manual are understood and complied with
To oversee the work of cleaning staff, to ensure quality
standards and value for money are met
To complete all required compliance checks as set out on the
Every software
The role is line managed by the Executive Headteacher.
You will also be working with a large network of teaching
and support staff, students and visitors.
About the successful candidate
We are looking for people who have the following experience and qualities:
Relevant experience of working in a
similar role
Have the ability to work unsupervised,
and use own initiative
Be able to display effective communication skills
Be eager to work with a wider team, be flexible
Able to deal with change and unpredictability positively with a “can do”
attitude.
Educated to GCSE level in English and Maths
and competent with basic IT packages

need, the support given to children to read confidently. Inclusion
is a strength within the school; all pupils including those with SEND, make
good progress. Pupils behaviour is good and we use our bespoke manners
curriculum to encourage a warm and friendly ethos.
High Street is a small community school with approximately
175 children on roll from age two to age eleven. We work with external agencies
and all stakeholders to ensure we offer our community the support and
commitment they deserve. We have a wonderful team of teaching and non-teaching
staff and we pride ourselves on the caring relationships we have built between
all of the members of our ‘school family’.

Marlborough is a happy and thriving school in the heart of
the Devonport area of Plymouth. Marlborough Primary Academy is fully committed
