We are seeking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a child supported by an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). This is a fixed term position linked to an EHCP whilst they are a pupil at this school.
As an ASD Teaching Assistant your main responsibilities will include: Provide 1:1/small group educational support for a child with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder so that progress can be made in relation to EHCP, speech and language targets and to ensure sensory needs are met within the classroom and school environment. To support the teacher in implementing a ‘Total communication’ environment. To have a knowledge and understanding of The Autism Framework Progression document.
You will be appointed on Grade 3, working 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
