About this Role

Resourced Provision Manager – 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm and Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm, term time only (38 weeks).  Grade F Step 1 – Actual Annual Salary of £34,003.64). (which is the equivalent of a full-time salary of £40,462).

As part of our commitment to staff wellbeing RAISE Education Trust is trialling a two week half term break 19th to 30th October 2026. Following this trial, should the Trust revert back to a one-week October half term break from 2027 the contractual working weeks would increase to 39 weeks and the salary would increase accordingly.

Deer Park School is a new state of the art seven-form secondary school which opened in September 2021. At present there are just under 1,000 students on roll across Year 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11.  We are part of the RAISE Education Trust which comprises Deer Park Secondary School, Wildern Secondary School and Boorley Park Primary School.  We will have a PAN of 1050 when full.

Are you an inspirational and innovative individual looking to make a difference for pupils with SEND? Deer Park School is seeking a dedicated Resourced Provision manager with suitable experience, expertise or vision to manage, design and facilitate high quality learning experiences for students through our new ASC/MLD resourced provision opening to students in September 2026.

The successful candidate will work effectively and creatively with our SENCo and Additional Support Team in establishing the processes, routines and an environment where students can progress academically and thrive personally.  We are seeking an innovative, reflective and inclusive practitioner who will join us in shaping and growing this new provision in an exciting chapter for the school and its students.

The Role

Working as a RP Manager, you will:

  • Work closely with the SENCO to ensure the teaching practice, learning support and learning environment for the resourced provision effectively supports our students. 
  • Ensure the school’s policy and practice is upheld within the specialist centre
  • Work closely with the Local Authority (SEN caseworkers) regarding admissions, consultations, funding, and pupil placements.
  • Support students who access the resourced provision by delivering individualised or small group support or adaptations to help them manage the school day and develop strategies to support coping and well-being.  
  • Strategically plan and manage the logistics of inclusion timetables, ensuring pupils seamlessly transition between the specialist centre and mainstream classes.
  • Advocate for the needs of RP students across the wider school, ensuring the centre's pupils are fully included in whole-school events, assemblies, and trips and liaise with staff proactively in regards to reasonable adjustments.
  • Oversee the intake of new pupils into the centre and support in the management of transition processes for pupils moving on to secondary education or other provisions.
  • Establish and maintain a structured, calm and nurturing learning environment where children feel secure, are motivated to learn and able to thrive.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals in support of RP students including LA SEN case workers, SENCo, Learning Mentors, other teachers and external therapists to implement individual EHCP and personal goals.
  • Build strong and productive relationships with parents and carers to ensure a consistent, supportive approach.
  • Contribute to the vibrant wider life of the academy and the Trust.

What You Will Bring:

Proven experience in / ability to demonstrate a deep interest and understanding of:

  • SEND pedagogy and approaches.
  • Evidence of excellence in working with children with moderate learning difficulties and social communication difficulties either in secondary, KS2 primary setting/s or specialist settings.
  • A resilient, patient, and creative approach to meeting the needs of students.
  • Innovation and enthusiasm for developing an exceptional provision within our school.
  • An ability to work flexibly, constructively and collegiately with colleagues and professionals.
  • An ability to multi-task and manage the logistical and operational demands of the resourced provision.
  • A desire to engage in continuous professional development and be part of a forward-thinking team.
