About this Role

PolyMAT is a small yet ambitious Multi-Academy Trust (M AT) with a strong sense of community and shared vision of “Success for Everyone”.

We are proud to operate three thriving schools within our Trust: Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys, a long-established boys' school; Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls, which opened in 2019; and Bannockburn Primary School, a large and successful primary that joined the Trust on November 1, 2023. Additionally, we offer a flourishing co-educational Sixth Form provision.

We are currently seeking a reliable, committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team at Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) in achieving their goals.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support based on Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Help students build confidence, independence, and resilience.

Qualifications:

  • A good all-round education with A Levels and GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
  • While a degree is desirable, it is not essential.
  • Experience working with secondary school-aged students is preferred.
